Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! We had a great Christmas and we hope that you all had the same!! It was so much fun to watch Logan, because this has really been the first year that he has been old enough to enjoy opening all the presents and loved watching everyone open the presents that he had picked out just for them!! It was great to be able to spend some time with both sides of the family!! The only downfall was leaving our camera in Midway at grandmas!! Oh well, thank goodness for camera phones!!

Pretzel Time!

Now that Sara is crawling around she is into EVERYTHING!! I forgot how hard it is to really baby proof your house! Sara's favorite food is pretzels, but the problem we have is that she doesn't really eat them, she sucks on them until they are all mushy and then moves onto another. So not only do I have pretzels all over the house, but I have mushy pretzels all over the house!!

Happy Halloween!!

This year for Halloween Logan was Captain Jack Sparrow and Sara was a flower in a pot! Both of their costumes were a hit!! For our family party Mike and I dressed up as Fred and Wilma Flintstone!

DISNEYLAND!!!

The thing Logan looked forward to most this year was the famous disneyland trip!! Logan got to meet all of his favorite Disney characters including Mickey Mouse! His favorite ride was by far the Buzz Lightyear ride! The only downfall was that we weren't able to ride "Finding Nemo," and Logan is determined that we are going back just to ride that one! We'll see right Grandma and Grandpa!?

Logan loved fishing with his Grandpa this summer! They didn't get anything but they had a blast!!

Family Vacation to Sun Valley

This summer we spent a week in Sun Valley!! It was a great week of just hanging out, feeding the ducks, and relaxing as a family!! Logan said his favorite things were learning to pee in the dirt and watching movies on the couch-bed!!

Mini Golf with the Fish Family!

We went Mini Golfing with our neighbors the Fish's for the freedom festival! Logan and Trevor had more fun in the water than actually golfing! They also enjoyed making themselves into obstacles in the course, for some reason this only happened when Brandon, the Fish dad, was up!!

Sara's Blessing Day!

Sara was born on June 1st! It was an awesome day that we were able to share with all of our closes friends and family members! It was so fun to have everyone come over and hang out and be able to spend the day with them! Mike did a great job blessing her and Logan couldn't have been more excited for his baby sister!

Getting back to Normal! (whatever that is)

It's about time that I got around to updating our blog! It's amazing how different adding a new baby to the mix has been!! We are all doing really well, and starting to wind down after a fun summer. Logan starts school next week and couldn't be more excited! Sara is doing really well and growing like crazy! You would have never known that she had any problems at all!

YEAH!! Happy Day!

Today has been an awesome day!! Sara has eaten really well at all of her feedings today, so we are on the right track!! We are going to try and get her to eat all eight feedings by mouth tomorrow and not by her feeding tube. IF this happens we may be home by the weekend. Which would be great, because I think we are all a little bit sick of being in the hospital........they do however have awesome food!! Not really, I think this will cure any habit of eating out! I can't wait to go home and cook a real dinner. Logan went to school this morning and took a picture of his "baby Sara." He was so excited to show all of his friends! He keeps asking when he can take her home because he wants to teach her about Nemo, so she isn't scared. Hopefully it won't be much longer!

Day by Day

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!! Today we have been able to make some progress. They took Sara's oxygen off of her and she has been without it for about three hours or so!! So we will hopefully not be needing that anymore. She is eating about half of the needed amount of her food from a bottle, and the rest she is getting from her feeding tube. Hopefully by the end of the week she will be eating the full amount and then we can go home! YEAH!!!

Our New Little Addition

Well, we are still here in the hospital waiting for little Sara to start eating so we can go home! She was born on Sat. the 22nd and has been in the NICU ever since. She weighed 5 9 and was exactly 4 weeks early. She is doing really good now and we just have to get her to eat for a couple of days and then the real chaos will begin at home!! Logan is holding up pretty well and thinks that this is just a fun little adventure! The nurses all know him by name now and he thinks the Dr.'s job is to sit and talk to him as they walk down the halls! He does, however, seem really concerned about his new baby sister. It's almost feeding time.......keep your fingers crossed!!!.......so I better go and see what happens. We will keep you all updated on her progress, and thanks for all of your prayers!!
